Locating
Before digging, you must call 811 to locate public utility lines. However, 811 does not indicate the depths of those lines. Potholing to find lines can be risky, time-consuming, and expensive. We can mark depths as well as any private lines 811 is not required to mark. These may include electric running to parking lights or accessory buildings, or private gas lines running to propane appliances. In ideal conditions, we have been able to see 13 feet into the soil.
Concrete Scanning
Cutting or coring concrete is a necessity for many building projects. The dangers of hitting conduit, water lines, rebar, and post tension cables can be mitigated by scanning the area for potential hazards before cutting or coring, saving you time and money. We can accurately image objects that are up to 24” in depth.
Reports
After scanning, we will go over findings and markings with the contractor and ensure we have scanned the needed areas. Our invoices will include descriptions of how many areas were scanned, the size of the areas, and any findings. If needed, we can also provide numbered locations, provide pictures, and report more in-depth, detailed descriptions. Contractors can also request the raw data from the scans via file transfer or images. Concrete scans are available in 2d or 3d imaging. 2d imaging is our fastest and most requested form of scanning. However, for those wanting a more detailed view of the area, we recommend 3d imaging.
